What I do now:

Having been trained at the Peabody Conservatory, of course my first love is orchestral music. I soon found out that in order to make a living at this, I would have to become a commercial player as well. So...instead of choosing between the two, I chose to do both and am equally at home in both the classical and commercial styles. This instrument is never completely learned and can turn on you in an instant. I am a lifelong student of the trumpet and still, after some 30 years of professional playing, love to practice.

Currently, I work in studios and with numerous R&B, corporate & Latin bands, orchestras, chamber ensembles and show pit orchestras. I'm also a frequent soloist and my specialty is in the music of the baroque.

My wife Luz and son Michael Emilio are the most important people in my life. Not a day goes by without my remembering how lucky/blessed I am.
